Parent involvement is important to all of us. Your child, the teachers, the school and the system. Perhaps help with events, read to the class, present  or do something wit the class, copy papers for the teachers and more. Click here to get the form so you can get involved.

Continuous practice and teaching in:

  • Next Generation CSO's - Teach 21 

  • Classroom and School Routines

  • Letters  (upper and lower case) writing them correctly and the sounds they make

  • Handwriting on correct lines - Always putting their name on their paper

  • Coloring in the lines and using appropriate colors

  • Taking time with their work and pride in the finished product

  • Playing well with others

  • Listening skills - Learning to be an active listener

  • Following Instructions

  • Staying on task

  • Learning to tie shoes

  • How to blow their nose

  • Proper hand washing 

  • (Sight) Words: Continue practice on all sight word but concentrate on the ones we have covered so far

  • Phonics Concentration:  Blending to sound out words  (Consonant Blends) 

  • Comprehension Skill in Reading: Review of all with the stories, Characters, setting, sequence, main idea

  • Practice the high frequency words: All that we've learned up to this point 

  • Always review and practice: Months of the year, days of the week. 

  • Math - Colors, Sorting, Numbers (counting, writing, recognition, Shapes, Counting by 1s, 10s, 5s, & 2s , Knowing the number word, color words, ordinal numbers, simiple addition and subtraction, more than, less than, money recognition and value, counting simple money, number line, directional words
    * Please practice counting to 100 by 5's, 10's, 2's and ones with your child. Practice writing numbers 1 - 20 and knowing the number words.

 

REMEMBER

  • To read with your child and get them moving as well. We want the kids to have healthy minds, bodies and hearts.

  • Phys. Ed - Thurs. - Fri. 

** Please have your child wear or bring athletic shoes for Phys. Ed. 

  • * Guidance  - Fridays 2:00  and some Mondays 

 

 

Wrapping it up: 

  • June 2 - Last day for students

  • June 2nd - Field Day 8 - 12 Wear athletic attire. Parents are welcome!
